It was such a pleasure to spend time with students at Olin College, and their tutor Sarah Bloomer, talking about surveys. They’ve been reading my book and writing their own surveys and asked me some great questions in the session.
One of the things I learned from them is that it’s easy to get confused between ‘the number’ – which is the result you need at the end of the survey in order to make a decision – and ‘the number’ when we are talking about how many responses you get to your survey.
I’ve added a slide to the presentation to express the difference between these two numbers.
